Naples Greek Festival 2016 Will Be Here Friday!
It’s that time of year again!! The Naples Greek Festival 2016 is open this weekend, February 12-14th. Here’s what you can expect!
The annual Naples Greek Festival is happening this weekend at St. Katherine’s Greek Church, on the corner of Airport-Pulling Road and Orange Blossom. There is also Yanni, a 25 foot blow up Greek character in front of the church, so you cannot miss it! This year the church is teaming with Barbara’s Friends through Helping Kids with Cancer Radiothon to raise money for the Golisano Children’s Hospital Pediatric Cancer Center.
Hours: FRI & SAT, 11am-9pm and SUN,12pm-7pm
Admission: Adults $5 for the entire weekend
Children under 12 years old are free
*Note: The prices are for the ENTIRE weekend, so if you go just for food on Friday and want to come back the next two days, you can. No repaying any entrance fees!
What To Expect at the Greek Festival?
What’s so cool about the Greek festival? The amazing authentic food for one – think Gyros, honey puffs, greek salad and seasoned french fries and LOTS more! And don’t forget the greek pastries and my personal favorite, Baklava. A huge tent is set up out behind the church with tables and chairs lined up and a dance floor front and center. Dine on the best Greek food and desserts in town while you listen to live Greek music and watch various dancer perform their authentic routines throughout the night.
What Else Can I Expect?
Take a break from the music and head over to the vendor market. Where you can find unique trinkets and treasures. There is also a bounce house and rock climbing wall for the little ones. A $50 raffle ticket will buy you a chance to win a Mercedes-Benz CLA car, with the drawing being held at the close of the event Sunday.
Don’t Feel Like Staying for the Party? Pick up Take-Out in the Drive-Thru!
If you aren’t in the mood for crowds or feel like this weekend’s weather is a little to cold for you, stop by the church and pick up take-out from the drive-thru lane.
