Naples has long been revered as the place for retirees and the elderly, but a lot has changed in the last few decades. When I tell people I live in Naples they automatically think it’s a sleepy old town with nothing to do, but that’s a thing of the Naples past! Enter Mercato. The new “it” area that has an abounding nightlife.

Mercato was built in 2011 and has quickly become the hottest spot in Naples. From bars, lounges, restaurants, shopping and much more, Mercato has everything to offer guests and residents. Mercato is located on the corner of Vanderbilt Beach Road and US-41 at 9132 Strada Place. A 12-screen premier-style theater, Mercato offers 12 notable restaurants, over 20 upscale retailers and luxury residential condominiums. Mercato hosts a vibrant year-round event calendar with most events free and open to the public. Most people enjoy the fact that they can dine at one of the many restaurants or see a movie and then walk down to different bars and lounges.

All of the restaurants and bars in Mercato offer great Happy Hour deals. Grab a friend and get there early because in season it’s tough to find a spot at the bar or outdoors where they serve Happy Hour. Most Happy hours start at 3:30 and some continue on until 8 pm!

Do you like Mercato so much you wish you could live there? Well you can. This multi-use area has stores on the bottom and condominiums above. Listen to live music from your balcony and walk to your favorite stores! Don’t like to cook? No problem, your favorite restaurants are literally just steps away. The coolest part?
